Designed by one of the world’s most renowned golf architects, American Robert Trent Jones Senior, this 18-hole golf course was inaugurated in 1991. Since then, the Barbossi estate, the largest private estate on the Côte d’Azur with its 1350 hectares, was bought in 2008 by the Franco-Lebanese businessman Iskandar Safa, Barbossi is at the same time a golf course, a owners’ stable, a tennis club, a renowned wine estate and an open-air museum.
The golf course alone covers 65 hectares and is set in the middle of four lakes, the Riou de l’Argentière river, hundred-year-old cork oaks, maritime pines, olive trees and mimosas, bunkers and hilly greens. The challenge here is to place your face-off correctly.
The course is intended to be technical, strategic and tactical, but remains accessible to golfers of all levels.
